Designed for operating pressures up to 700 bar, these cylinders are available in single-acting, double-acting, and pull-type configurations and meet the requirements of ANSI B30.1. Capacities range from 2 to 1 220 tons (approximately 1.8 to 1 107 metric tonnes), with stroke lengths from 8 mm to 511 mm, supporting a wide variety of lifting and positioning applications. Selected Power Team cylinder series also feature standard swivel caps, helping to reduce side loading and improve operational safety and performance.
R Series Single-Acting, Load Return Cylinders
Tonnage range: 55–565 tons
High-tonnage, low-cycle applications with gravity return
R Series single-acting cylinders are designed for demanding, high-tonnage applications where controlled lifting and gravity-assisted return are required. Built for durability and operational safety, these cylinders deliver reliable performance in low-cycle environments.
Key features
- Visible indicator band alerts operators when the stroke limit is reached
- Overflow port (weep hole) stroke limiter prevents piston overextension
- Alloy, heat-treated piston and cylinder body provide strength and long-term reliability
- Plated piston rod enhances corrosion resistance and bearing support
- Optional swivel load caps reduce off-centre loading, accommodating up to 5° of tilt
- Radial grooves on the load cap help minimise load slippage
R Series Double-Acting, Hydraulic Return Cylinders
Tonnage range: 100–565 tons
High-tonnage, low-cycle applications with hydraulic return
R Series double-acting cylinders provide precise control and efficient retraction through hydraulic return, making them ideal for heavy-duty lifting and positioning tasks. Engineered for safety and longevity, they perform reliably under extreme loads.
Key features
- Standard swivel load caps reduce the effects of off-centre loading
- Cylinders can be dead-ended without damage
- Hard chrome-plated, heat-treated piston rod reduces wear on the piston and gland nut
- Built-in safety relief valve prevents over-pressurisation of the retraction circuit
- Two standard 3/8 in. NPTF female half couplers (9796) for hydraulic connections
